Medicinal chemistry. The definition: Medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry are disciplines at the intersection of chemistry, especially synthetic organic chemistry, and pharmacology and various other biological specialties, where they are involved with design, chemical synthesis and development for market of pharmaceutical agents (drugs).
One known and respectful professor said on my PhD thesis dissertation that ONLY organic chemists really understand how molecules can act and react in the body. I was proud to be an organic chemist.
