Something goes wrong….

GSK to create 1,000 new jobs and invest £500 million in UK. What’s wrong may you ask? Let’s go into details:
The keywords here are “new jobs” and “invest in UK”. The last decade was associated with outsourcing everything to Asia and East Europe with the mantras like “Free market”, “Free trade”, “No borders”, “Globalization” etc. The model was simple: produce as cheap as possible where ever you can, sell as expensive as possible and don’t care about the losers who become unemployed due to using of this model. And everything worked fine (besides de-industrialization of the West and huge social problems and unemployment level)! What’s was wrong with the model that suddenly the rhetoric was changed to “new jobs” and “invest in UK”? Why such a protectionism? Probably the model doesn’t work anymore?
